National professional association for the pretrial release and pretrial diversion fields. Offers membership, professional certification (CPSP), accreditation, standards, publications, webinars, and an annual conference.
Founded in 1981, NAPE represents chief executive officers of local, county, state, and federal probation agencies. Provides training, technical assistance, research, standards development, and education. Current president is the Deputy Chief of the AO Probation and Pretrial Services Office.
